Samir Farid Geagea (Arabic: سمير فريد جعجع, also spelled Samir Ja‘ja‘), born October 25, 1952, is a Lebanese politician. He is also a senior figure in the March 14 Alliance, alongside Saad Hariri and Amine Gemayel.

He took leadership of the Lebanese Forces in 1986. After the civil war, there was increased pressure by Syria on Geagea to accept the Syrian presence or face charges.^{[citation needed]} Prior to his arrest, he was contacted by several sympathetic politicians and warned about the forthcoming proceedings and offered safe passage out of Lebanon. In 1994, four years after the end of the Lebanese Civil War, Geagea was tried for ordering four political assassinations, including the assassination of Lebanon's Prime Minister Rashid Karami in 1987, and the unsuccessful attempted assassination of Defense Minister Michel Murr in 1991. He denied all charges, but was found guilty and sentenced to four death sentences, each of which was commuted to life in prison. Geagea was imprisoned in solitary confinement below the Lebanese Ministry of Defense building in Beirut for the next 11 years. He is the only Lebanese militia leader to have been imprisoned for crimes committed during the Lebanese Civil War.

Jesse Lee Peterson (born May 22, 1949) is president and founder of The Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny (BOND), an American group dedicated to a conservative agenda among African Americans. Rev. Peterson is also the Founder and President of BOND Action, Inc., a nonprofit, 501 (c) (4) organization. He has hosted a cable TV program and a syndicated radio talk show. His radio show is cited by Republican groups as an example of a black Republican message, including denunciations of affirmative action as "reverse racism". He is a member of Choose Black America, an organization of African Americans who oppose illegal immigration to the United States. He is a member of the advisory board of Project 21, an African American conservative organization, and former board member of the California Christian Coalition.

Peterson was born in Midway, Alabama, and raised in Comer Hill, Alabama. His mother and father moved to Gary, Indiana, and East Chicago, Indiana, respectively, where they separately started new families of their own. Peterson was left to be raised in Comer Hill by his grandparents who worked on the same white-owned plantation that his ancestors labored on as slaves a century earlier. As a teenager, Peterson moved in with his mother and stepfather in Gary, and eventually settled in Los Angeles, California, as a young adult.
